A sun hat, plenty of sun cream to avoid burning and gallons of water. I thought today was going to be the hottest day ?
phone in sick?

Ok, in all seriousness...

wear protective clothing, ie, keep shoulders and head covered. Any exposed bits of flesh cover with a very high factor sun screen. Take as many breaks in shade as you can, drink lots and lots of water.
Attach a hose pipe to your back
Wear cotton, absolutely no synthetics. Wear a lightweight big brimmed hat to keep your face and back of the neck in the shade.
Drink lots, don't wait until you are thirsty.
Try those migraine relief cool patch things, perhaps on the small of your back.
Keep a sprayer of water handy so you can spray yourself.
Pace yourself.

Ideally you should wear loose clothing made of cotton (or other natural fibre) - not black in colour.

And as Chaptazbru & BOO have said, sun cream & plenty of water
Starting from the top. Sun hat which covers the back of the neck, loose cotton clothing, go "comando" (seriously!), container filled with water and a cloth to apply the water to the back of the neck, wrists, underarms and back of knees. Drink at least 500ml of water every hour (and if you can do it, add a packet of rehydration powders to a couple of the drinks). The way you can see if you are hydrated enough is that at least one pee a day should be completely clear. If its not drink more water.

Hope that helps!
Forgot the sun block!

The rehydration powders will replace electrolyteslost through sweating.

I have to attend a graduation ceremony tomorrow..it is going to be awful in a large room with hundreds of folk !
Blokes working near me brought a pop up gazebo thing with them and worked under it, very effective, I think tomorrow is supposed to be cooler

Ideally, you should wear a sports base layer because they are made from fabrics that wick moisture away from the body. Cotton doesn`t wick - it gets wet and stays wet.
anyone that fit in the tub at the same time as me
Can anyone explain why lots of Arabic people wrap somuch round their heads. I went to a fancy-dress party once wearing an authentic Arab headdress and in was uncomfortably hot in Mayfair in the evening. what it must be like in the high temperatures of the Middle East I can't imagine
Depends what you're doing?
People keep out of the sun during the day in the Middle East. If you drive along a freeway at (say) 1 or 2 am, you see all of the black clad ladies and their families sitting on the grass verges. They come out at night to socialise.
