Tara - if I were you I would make a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy it from the window in my living room!!! Since I didn't have to leave the house today - and wouldn't have had to drive around in it - I am a little jealous that you have snow and I don't!!!

ooh Tara i just love snow i love walking in it and watching it fall when i'm curled up nice and cosy in front of the fire. We don't get it as much as we used to , when i was young it snowed every winter .All we seem to get now is wind and rain :(
Ooooh Hi Tara ..long time no see ! Lovely piccie .No snow here in Norfolk just more of the same ...damp and dismal ..lol
Hope you are well ...Schne Gre

Good to hear from you. I've been at home after a knee op, so I' ve been online a bit more than I usually manage.
Apropos snow. There's a weather warning out for heavy falls tonight and high winds. More snow than we had all last winter (didn't deserve the name!). 20 cms(8 inches) expected.
England are playing Austria here tomorrow. Hope the fans have got nose muffs! Still, it might cool down hot tempers
:-))
tara
Ma in law said today it has turned very cold ...and they had snow in Bayern but it hadn't reached her or my other lot yet ....Hope you will soon be over the op ..the old knees do get creaky at this time of the year ! We must have had the worse summer on record !
Have you still got your dog ?
We lost old Shaney a few months ago ...poor old chap had a tumour :((
Oooo , no thankyou tara , I don't want snow here . It's very picturesque when it lies crispy white , but once it goes sludgy and dirty and really slippery then I only like it on xmas cards:-) xx
oh tara that was a lovely response lots of people are really nice on here and have a big heart but unfortunately you always get a rotten apple!!!
love the snow......... only on a picture!! lol
coming from scotland ive had enough snow to last a lifetime but my children love it and staying in london now where the snow doesnt really lie, my oldest would love it, especially the snowball fights.
Oh of course ..I remember now ..and posted too ..the perils of old age ....memory failure !
I keep hovering and every time I see the rescue dogs in the local paper I want to rush off and get another one ..but Shaney was such a character and would be so hard to replace plus we are not getting any younger and my arthritics are not getting any better ( he would go out in all weathers ...he loved it when it snowed ) ....but you never know ..-....perhaps another one will find me like he did !
I'm originally from Scotland, too. I know the 4-seasons -in-one-day weather! As they say, if you don't like the weather
just stick around long enough and it'll change!
I notice quite a few Scots on AB even if they live elsewhere now.
If I'm spared and all goes well ( a favourite saying of Scots mothers!) I can retire in 2009, then I want to have a dog to stop me hanging around at home.
I really miss going out in all weathers, and hot tea or coffee afterwards tastes a lot better :-) Let's face it , if you don't have to, you don't go!
sometimes not to far from me if it snowed you had no choice to go out... you could"nt!!! completely snowed in!! thats what happens when you live up in a hill........would have been good if you couldn"t go to work and still get payed for it as it was out of your control.......
have a nice evening xx
sh1te thank god its not snowing here, just noticed my gas has ran out!!!!!!!!!!! thankfully it happened now before it gets to late as it may not be snowing but its bl00dy freezing out there!! lol
That's very true Tara ....I always went in wind and weather otherwise we had pooh faces .....and that sort of stare you out until you give in behaviour !
I do miss the daily walkie ...which was often ..three times a day and counting when he was younger but more of a stately amble as he got older .
They leave a big old gap .
