Today is the worst snow falls in 18 years here in the UK and nobody has put anything into the AB Weather section. Is anybody going to go into work, and if so why? There is more to come later! Here in West London thick and still falling and Heathrow runways closed.

I still managed to get to work on time! No one else in my office bothered though. Think I'll go home....

It's early Eash. They may be on the way! Or they may be like me. One look out of the window and I admitted defeat. Dont supposed you looked out at midnight. It was as bright as day out there, and looked really odd.
luckily i don't have to go to work today, but have postponed a planned trip over to Willenhall, just in case. I live about 2 1/2 miles from my workplace, so if it snows all day and all night, i will probably still be able to make it to work tomorrow :(
Our company policy is if you can't drive to work, and the public transport is out, you should be expected to attempt to walk in, as long as you can make it in an hour or less.
The sun is so bright and strong just now, it is blinding me thru the front window, all the snow clouds seem to have gone.

I took my girls school this morning on their sled we made, and fell in the middle of the road, ow... my knee is killing me now, i was surprised at the amount of elderly out.
My hubby too fell on his bum, i laughed, but we are both late 20s and very able, i do worry about the elderly out in such conditions!!
I will not be going out again till i get the kids, then will see what its like, might go sledging later lol xx
Old people on walking sticks always venture out in this weather...no idea why

Sorry to hear that Sheribee. Hope your knee stops hurting soon.
No one can ever make it to work but guarantee Tescos cap park is always full up come 11am.
I now have a big bruise!!!
did my good deed for today tho, was walking to the shops and this tiny old lady was crossing the road to the shops. i asked if she was ok and if she wanted to hold onto me to walk the rest of the way, which she did. Said she forgot her biscuits so was only coming out to get some, shop is litterally stones throw from where she lives, but it is so slippy out there! told me she was 87!!
Helped her into the shops, but by time id finished my shoppping she was out the door and gone, i tried to catch up with her, luckily she made it home ok, but i was gobbsmacked, she would risk her health and safety for 2 packs of cheesy biscuits! Bless her!!
Snow is pretty bad here in northants x
sheribee pensioners are a different species,my mum rang me to say that she had to turn back,as she couldnt get her trolley through the snow,my god my life will be over for the lack of a bottle of washing up liquid, its like she is on a mission!!!!

Sheribee you are a saint. Once I was in the post office and a strange lady barged her way past everybody in her rush to get out of the door. She then fell over in a puddle. I resisted the urge to laugh and helped her up!
