What is a nice way to say it belting down snow?

My husband has used belting down, bucketing and good dump - none which I am happy with! He has also promised there will be 8" tonight!
Any nice girly way of saying heavy snow fall? :-)

I think you should ignore the snow and just be happy that you're getting 8'' tonight from hubby ;-)
Can't say I've ever experienced 8", but a good dump.......that's another thing.

Mans 8" & woman's 8" - 2 totally different measurements
A fine flurry of flakes??
fluffing....big thick fat flakes
powdering....the fine gritty stuff
quilting...friends daughter described heavy snow as a big duvet on the garden so now when its really heavy it's quilting with snow
Here in Dorset if the snow settles we say it is pitching down. Or how about billowing down.
