my daughters boyfriend want to take her away for a surprize for her birthday in november both can only have 3 days off work max , he asked me where he should take her im stumped , i like the sun so i was thinking canaries but when i checked price its very expensive for 3 days , spain bit cheaper but i imagine a bit dead as its not in season ., any ideas ? cheers

My birthday is in November and I love London at that time of year. The days are quite often bright, so the riverside areas are good places to head; while the evenings are full of pre- Christmas magic atmosphere.

But if they already live in London or fancy being abroad, then chose Amsterdam (55 minutes on a plane) or Paris (2hrs on a train) or how about Dublin?
