Do you find like me that there is nothing cleaner than the old flash powder - it did burn the hands a little bit but thought it was an immaculate cleaner. These other flash this and that do not come up to scrap.
I remember the old Flash ads waaay back when. The competition at that time was only Vim or Ajax. Molly Weir's piercing voice saying "it's toooo scratchy fer the baath" still haunts me. !!
One of our local corner shops changed hands. The new owner found some of the old packets of Flash powder in the back stockroom, and put them out for sale, I was thrilled, and bought the lot. I wish they would bring it back, perhaps we should start a campaign.
I remember Molly Weir, with the Scottish accent! By the way on limescale I cant fault Viakal. Only needs to be left on for half a minute, and all is shiny again.
I have a white "plasticy" synthetic kitchen sink that "says" none of these things work well enough. :-( Must be all the DIY stuff I've put down it over time.
Flash powder was the best stuff ever. I don't know why they have to discontinue these things .It's like Dreft washing powder ,that's gone for a burton too .I bought a case of it on Amazon (24 boxes) as I coudn't get it in the shops anymore but I'm down to my last box now and I'm panicking ..lol
You can't get Fairy household soap anymore either.
Yesterday, there was some flash powder for sale (part used) on ebay, and another discontinued product we all loved was Radion washing powder, but the Liquid version. It smelt absolutely gorgeous. Really fresh and clean. It we knew they were going to discontinue it, we would have bought all available stock.
