Does anyone know what the space in between the ceiling and window is called? The tunnel like bit that the daylight comes down.

Cheer :)

Thanks Togo. I've googled myself senseless looking for that answer, to no end.
Pleasure rocky.
Could also be called a "liner" or "lining", but I always call them "reveals" as well.

Thanks Builder. Googling with 'reveal' brings up a load of stiff that I don't want.

I'm looking for lighting ideas to put up there.
So it seems that 'skylight' only refers to the window fitting (some designs aren't flat). I never realised the hole had a separate name.

Maybe try a temporary light fixing first and see if it attracts hordes of moths at night? It might be like tapping on a drum, all night.
