I complete on my new home on 26th Oct. It was a repossession so all the gas / electricity etc was on a pay as you go system and its all been cut off. How do I :-
A) - Get everything turned back on
B) - Come off of the Pay as you go system
C) - When can I switch providers or do I do this first
Choose who you want to be your provider. Maybe who you are with now. Ring them and explain your position. If you can get the key for access from the estate agents or whoever is holding the keys make an appointment to meet the gas and electricity service personnel. Don't forget to take meter readings before it all happens. Contact your local water provider also. Be careful not to inherit any outstanding bill. Good luck with your new home.
