Rip Off Britain....flood Re

Are you happy to pay for greedy builders building where they should not?
Apparently we are all going to have to pay £10.50 on top of our home cover to cover for flood claims, here is a telegraph article on the subject.

It will be a relief to those who can no longer get affordable insurance, or any insurance, when they bought their properties as being of no flood risk. These properties are not all very close to the river.
I don't blame the builders - the land is given planning consent by the council and the councils are told to allow more house building by the government.
This is a similar scheme to the uninsured drivers scheme, where all insured drivers pay a bit more to provide cover for those involved in an accident with an uninsured driver. It is called 'society' and in my view is a very good thing.
