I saw this on the Beeb website yesterday, and I was intrigued by this strange and sad story, and I thought it might interest some of you on here :::

We do not have details of his death, by that i mean there was no post mortem and we cannot rule out manslaughter or even.......MURDER.
Clearly he got into trouble in the water either accidentally or by another hand and drowned.
If there was a "culprit" who hadn't owned up, then this person could be in his 60's when he could no longer live with his guilt and hence tried to atone by attending the grave.
