Up Dating Apps

I have a Sumsung galaxy and the Apps on it are constantly updating,facebook and twitter just to name 2 update 3 time a week sometimes,is this normal or necessary ?

I also get regular updates of apps.

I assume they have to make changes when they add new function, or find a bug, or there is a security issue.

However, like you, I am alarmed how many times the apps are updated.

I think they should "save" them up and only download them once a month or whatever.

Is this the software versions, or are they just updating data so you can keep in touch ? I notice the sites stated are the type some folk want to continually check.
