All they did was to write to Mr Cameron offering to use the C of E's influence to help provide housing, foster care and support for refugees. Oh, and they suggest that the country can cope with a lot more of them than Mr Cameron does.
So far, a month on from that letter, they haven't had the courtesy of a reply, even if it was a "thank you, I'll take your letter into consideration".
Would you have reacted the same way if, for example, the CBI had made the same suggestion ?
The fact that it was a letter from Bishops expressing concern about the government's response to what is seen by many as a humanitarian problem which they believe we have a moral duty to help allay has nothing to do with their religion.
