I'm there for just 6 hours (then I board a cruise ship). What can be done in that short space of time - any suggestions?

Suggest taking the tourist bus to tour the city and that way you see all the main sights.

Bus touristico is very good,but if you don't fancy that,make sure you go to Las Ramblas,great market with mime artists,also you must see sagrada familla, gaudis,unfinished cathedral,ugly yet beautiful, also parc guell is worth a visit,you will be hooked on the city,

One word of advice,beware of pickpockets, enjoy it,it is a beautiful city, Ray

i dont think you will have that much time to do that much,what with customs,taxi to the centre etc,but do make for la rambla and go from there,remember to allow enough time to get back to the boat.

6 hours what a shame, spent four days there for a celtic- barca game 1-1 very exciting.you should have time to see the gaudi temple, being one of barcelona's landmarks it's well worth seeing. stunning, absolutely beautiful. http://www.sagradafamilia.org/

good point ray! i got beat for a hundred euro, i'd been drinking but all the same their pretty damn smooth.

When I was there, waiting for a cruise, the company took us around the city on a coach, getting off four or five times to see stuff. At one stop, a woman had her bag snatched by two people on a motor bike. They follow the coaches and target women with shoulder bags and take them on the move. Be aware, it could ruin your holiday.

Go to the F C Barcelona, I can't stand football but worth a visit.

Or go on a tour of Gaudi's work (unfinished church)

Or go to the Zoo and see Snowflake the albino guerilla.
