I have a lovely red Japanese Maple bush around 4 ft tall. I have noticed over the last couple of days the leaves have wilted and although it has been well watered it doesn't look very well. Can anyone help?

I assume it's not actually waterlogged?
Either the very strong sun has scorched the new delicate leaves or if your temperature has plummeted, as ours has, it could be due to cold winds which they hate.

Can't win can we? I'm amazed that mine survives at all :o)

This is spooky ours is the same. We have not pruned ours, do they need pruning?

No it shouldn't be pruned at this time of year, it just looks as if it hasn't been watered, and is not getting any better bless it. But its still a lovely shade of deep red, I expect it is dying from some sort of disease.
