This doesn't seem to be working, but at least it made the unemployment figures look a little better.

There was never any need for the "welfare to work" programme. All job seekers have to do is to find a few Poles, Latvians, Australians (or indeed any other foreign nationals) and ask them how you can find a job even with the added problem of finding your feet (including securing accommodation in a strange country), which those already here generally do not have...
