My heavily used keyboard (an old LX700 Logitech) just died last night so I got a 'quickie' from Argos, see above. It doesn't have a user manual!
Does anyone have experience of this keyboard and any tips,if any?
Many thanks

Thanks all for the tips & advice.
I eventually got the Logitech mk520 Wireless combo keyboard & mouse working the way I wanted and as Argos were cutting £10 off I reckon at under £30 it's a good deal!
Cheers
Good news.
Glad you're sorted :-)

Hi,
As stated earlier, the keyboard & mouse are working perfectly now as long as I don't activate the program 'Phrase Express' which I have been and probably still will (briefly) continue to use, for configuring my 'hot-keys'. I have established that the program disables the K520 keyboard after just short uses, but the keyboard reverts back to normal if that program is exited! I don't understand why it should do that,it never reacted that way with the old Logitech keyboard. Perhaps the new software for the new keyboard?
If anyone has any ideas, then please share!
Cheers
Hi Grandpappy - I'd not heard of Phrase Express. I've had a brief look at the Support Forum here -

http://www.bartelsmedia.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=146

but can't see at first glance anything similar to your problem.

In an unrelated thread on there, an issue was solved if, when opening Phrase Express via a desktop icon (I'll presume that's how you're doing it?), you right-click it & select "Run as administrator".

Of course, I can't say whether or not that would have any effect at all on your particular problem, but it might be worth a try?

Have you checked that you've the latest version installed? You can start here to check & update if necessary -

http://www.phraseexpress.com/updates.htm

^A word of caution - when installing, make sure you check carefully to de-select any pre-ticked boxes offering such things as browser add-ons, auto home page selectors etc.

Unfortunately, if you're a freeware user their extended support appears to be available via a "Service Ticket" - a tad expensive @ €90 per half hour's consultation! Further info here -

http://www.phraseexpress.com/contact.php

Beyond that I'm afraid I can't help any further with this, but if you get this thread back into Latest Posts every now & again by adding any further info or just typing "Bump", someone more familiar with the software might be able to offer you some real assistance :-)

Hi Lie-in King,
I've decided to dump Phrase Express even though it seemed to behave better if I started it & ran as Admin. It was becoming a nuisance and it's gone!
Probably helped on it's way because of a free package on Giveaway Of The Day called Phrase Expander Standard 4.9.0. The free version seems to be doing what I want & I don't need the Pro version. So, all of my 'hot-keys' are working ,in conjunction with my keyboard and Gramps is a happy bod.
Cheers all.
