Upload Issue Iphone Update

I have a 5s and updated to ios9 I think it was last night. I had previously had issues opening my Manchester Evening News app which is now fixed but that and another news site no longer let me upload links directly to Facebook. The only options are to copy to upload to a message, email, reminder or notes. Usually there are options for Facebook, Twitter etc...

Does anyone know a fix for this? I can copy the link and paste but then it has the whole hyperlink and looks messy unless I go back in and edit it which is a big faff when I should be able to upload directly as before.

My Sky News app still lets me but through a different "interface".

Hi, I removed and downloaded it prior to the update when I had difficulty opening the MEN app yesterday. It still didn't work until I had updated the operating system. It works now but won't upload to Facebook directly.

Re disappearing Contacts: try turning on (or turning off/on) the iCloud contact syncing - Settings / iCloud / Contacts.

Hi, thanks for your help. Just tried that but no joy. Panicking about losing so many numbers! Yes it's the update I did on Saturday night to IOS9.

Try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

Just given that a try and they still haven't come back :( I tweeted EE earlier but they haven't come back to me yet.

I've got so many numbers going back years and some I'd struggle to get back. Can't think what else to do.

Nope, still no joy. The only names in my text messages folder are generic ones like my bank name, EE, Boots, from large companies where it tells you who it's from automatically.

Can you go to the Contacts app (if you can find it) or Contacts on the Phone app...top left is Groups, clicking it should say Show or Hide All Contracts. If the former then click it and the contacts should show...

I've founds the Contacts app but when I put it to Show All Contacts all it's showing me if the one Contact I've re-named since they disappeared, did it to see if it would prompt anything but still nothing.

You are signed in to iCloud? Using your Apple ID then toggle contacts on. If they don't show it's as though you have restored as new, not from a backup, rather than updated, very odd.

I've had a fiddle but still nothing, am signed into icloud now with my Apple ID but can't really remember using it before. Would this be something that I would have had to actively have done before upgrading?

You should have signed in to iCloud when you first got the phone and everytime you recharge then your phone is backed up. go to Settings / iCloud / Contacts. and see if Contacts are on.

Yes, Contacts is selected within icloud.

Would it make a difference that this is the first time I've done a software update since I got the phone in August 2013?

Are you saying today is the first time you have signed in to iCloud? If so then its a bit late now, though. If you didn't have the Contact syncing to iCloud before you did the update, then they won't be there, and I think they'll be lost.

I think it is, can't remember if I did back when I got the phone as so long ago but I can't remember using or seeing it since.

It does look like they may be lost, how annoying, wish they would warn you about that kind of thing before you upgrade as so many numbers lost.

Seems weird it would keep things like my text messages but not my contacts.

Are you using Gmail it could be your Gmail contacts. Go to Settings / Mail, Contacts and check Accounts.
