... the use of supermarket plastic bags, which I used in my kitchen waste bin affixed to a door under the worktop?

I never wasted these bags, but will soon have to look for an alternative. Ideas welcome.

Shops like Poundland/Poundstretcher sell two rolls of bin liners for £1. They last for ages.

One alternative is to pay 5p for them.
Yes, pay for them. Unless it's cheaper to buy bin liners ...
Pedal bin liners would likely be the right size.
If you get as many through the door as I do, Wiltsman......charity collection bags......
Well unless you need them to be extra strong, not sure you'd load such a bin with heavy stuff, bin liners are cheap enough.

My 'corner shop' still gives a free bag with a purchase, so no shortage for me.
The rules only apply to companies that have over 250 employees, my shop has 3 employees.
Bin liners?
Yes normal bin liners on a roll, but not pedal bin liners, as they would be too large.
By pedal bin I mean one that reaches to just below your kneecap - ie about as tall as a carrier bag.
you're maybe thinking of swing top bins, AOG - as championed by Ben Elton.......

I'd rather buy bin liners than go shopping every time the bin needed emptying.

Mushroom I loved that sketch - at last someone who was like me I thought all those years ago.

Yes swing bins, of course so sorry, that serves me right for interfering in women's matters. :0)
