Mullerrice 19G Per 100G Is That A Lot Of Sugar?

HI im type 2 diabetic. I had a sandwich for lunch and a packet of low fat crisps milk and a muller rice banana and custard it says 19g per 100g and the pot is 180g is that high in sugar? Just checked my bloods and they are 11.2 i have a feeling that the muller rice was to blame.

I'm not sure what nutritional advice you are given,gordie,but you really should avoid processed carbohydrates. You had quite a few in your lunch...including the bread,crisps,milk...and the Muller rice. You'd be better off having a meat or fish based salad,with some berries and natural yogurt,and possibly some nuts as a snack.

Gordie, the reference you may have seen online concerning carbs is the basis for the low sugar lifestyle (I refuse to call it a diet, since that always fails).
Nutrition labels will (at least here in the U.S.) provide carbohydrates, fiber and sugars (as well as some other information). The point is to consider fiber as beneficial so the simple equation is to subtract the grams of fiber from the grams of carbohydrates and divide that figure by the constant of 5.
