Telephone dating lines that are not premium rate

Every time I see dating telephone lines they cost �1 a minute or more, which as a single person really frustrates and annoys me. I am a single person with a disability, and because of this I just don't seem to have the resources to meet people, especially in such an area that I live in. Does anyone know whether there are any telephone dating lines that are either free to use or costs no more than local rate, or are there any charities that work in a similar way - to help disabled people start a serious relationship?

Have you thought about the Lonely Hearts in your local paper? I would have thought there was more chance of meeting people within your local area that way.

I seriously doubt that there are any cheap dating lines (this is how they make their money)

4give me for putting my oar in but just because you have a disability don't resort to those con calls.boo is right about trying lonely hearts columns or the good old fashioned shopping aisle!! i'm fat and no mona lisa but i found the man o my dreams by going to a new job and he loves me spare tyres and all.don't be trying those internet dating sites all they want is that nonesence called cybersex (what that all about!!!!!) or fantasy texts that quite frankly you could quote out of a book.i am the lily savage of advice.good luck.
