I saw this on the news tonight. The government have offered them two options - asylum in Cyprus, a safe haven, or repatriation - neither of which is acceptable to them. I can only assume they did not flee their homes in fear of their lives.

Well, if they won't accept either option which is open to them, then they have forfeited their freedom of choice and one or other option must be agreed between Britain and Cyprus on behalf of the illegal immigrants. I rather suspect that re-patriation would be chosen by both Cyprus and Britain. I very much hope that this discussion is taking place. It would certainly send a strong message and perhaps prevent others from making this dangerous trip.
