I do rather agree. X has placed a bid of £100, 000 well that's bloody great!
Probably the super rich, but whether the general public will remains to be seen imo. Mind you the listening figures must have been alright last year for them to do it again I should think.
I won't be listening by the way.
I don't know the programme, but if you don't like it switch it off. People, however rich, shouldn't be castigated for trying to help.

i don't begrudge people giving their money to whatever charity they want and i acknowledge that the hype probably does help the money go up, but it just takes over for days on end. Sdly my radio in the car can only get B
radio 2 or five live with any kind of certainty.
I never listen to it.
Neither do I. It raises a lot of money, so fair play to them. Not my kind of listening however.

eerrgghh another whole programme of it today.
"if you can afford to bid then do so, if you can't afford to bid we hope you are enjoying listening to the live auction".
errrrr no....
someone again mentioned today it was a "money can't buy" experience. Well it can if you have £50k
A real turn-off, the whole thing. I don't listen or watch or give. I quite enjoy a quiet evening to ourselves reading etc..
