Unused Fireworks.

Not really sure which category I should post this in, but as you use fireworks in the garden, I hope I’ve got it right!
We didn’t get to use the fireworks this year due to lousy weather, and there hasn’t been an evening since when we can all get together, and I think it’s too far past bonfire night now.
So I was wondering if they would keep and still be safe to use next year. I can’t see a use by date on any of the packaging.
Thanks.

Think of those of us with animaIs who are petrified - at Ieast on 5th November we can keep them safe from the anticipated Ioud bangs and fIashes - tonight there were some Iet off at about 6.30 - honestIy, 11th November and no chance to make sure the dogs were indoors and with the TV turned up. SeIfish ***.
It is Diwali today, the festival of light, and the law allows fireworks to be set off up until 1 am, the same as New Year's Eve and Chinese New Year.
Complaining about fireworks going off at 6.30 is a bit much - they can legally be set off until 11 pm every night of the year.
Anyway, to answer your question, store your fireworks safely and they'll be fine for next year. If you let them get wet it'll be a damp squib

here in the Irish Republic they are illegal. Doesn't stop people bootlegging them in over the border from Northern Ireland. The Gardai can't have checkpoints at every boreen crossing the border. IMO they should only be used at properly organised events. That way you pay a nominal entry fee and get to see a much better display than you could ever host in your own back garden and for a fraction of the cost.
Thanks for all the answers, folks. Wouldn’t want to use them any other time except bonfire night, so I will pack them up and save them for next year.
And lankeela, I quite agree with you. Although I don’t have any pets now, when I did, I used get annoyed by people letting fireworks off on any day except 5th November. But where I live now I only have 1 near neighbour and they have dogs, and I can assure you that had the family been able to get together during this last week, I would have let them know in advance that it was going to happen.
