How do I stop notifications from a Facebook thread I have got involved in a political discussion that is never ending on the neverendum!! And I am getting all wound up about it . I want to get off this discussion but I can't find a way on the link

At the top right corner of the start of the discussion, there is small mark, when you click on it, it gives you a choice, whether you want to be notified or leave

gordie - I had a nosy on it one time years ago - and didn't like it - just the once - once they grabbed my email address - they tortured me linking me with this and that.

I don't where I complained but somebody told me that you need to just come out of it - no answer or question - no involvement and allegedly after 15 or 20 days they don't bother you any more - now I done that and I never was bothered again - must admit to maybe one - do you know this person - I just delete - just delete all the the time and do not get involved in spats. Stop using it and it will die away. That's my impression.

trt = I done all that but it didn't stop it - just stop communicating and deleting as quickly as you can. Remember it will take time . Good luck gordie

buen - also when I looked at your link - if you read further down it says - this question is closed. Don't get me wrong I am gladly NOT on it at all - wouldn't have it about me. It wouldn't suit me.

JJ - Are you talking about email notifications? I think Gordie is talking about notifications you get ON facebook.
