Does anyone remember a show starring John Cleese and Willy Rushton as Sherlock Hlmes and Dr. Watson respectively in which leese makes several puns on Elementary my dear Watson, such as A lemon tree and a-la Montaray. Furthermore, is it available on video or dvd?

It was a one-off from the "Comedy Playhouse" series, broadcast on 18 January 1973. The Radio Times said: "John CLEESE as Sherlock HOLMES & William RUSHTON as Dr. WATSON, investigate the tenuous thread that links five dead solicitors with Fu Manchu & the panel of Call My Bluff."

Thanks to you both for that information. If I remember correctly it was a great programme with some wonderful lines and performances from a cast who seemed to be having a whale of a time. Woudln't it be great if the BBC repeated some of these {lost} gems instead of the dross that frequents our screens?
