The roofer came to inspect the roof.......found the hole in the flashing that let the tsunami in last week.....coming to fix it.....no charge...

Offered to pay for his time as it was such an exceptional storm.....not at all he said three times....well, he's Irish....

I know a lady in her sixties who had a leaking roof and a lovely man (a roofer) also fixed it for her free of charge. It was a problem with the flashing too. Some good 'uns out there ..
