Has anyone received an e-mail with the above heading? I'm sure mine is a scam so I won't open the link. It didn't go into my spam folder.

What do you all think about this one?

Phishing scam. Don't open, delete immediately.
go to your paypal account(without opening the mail) and see if there is a problem.
...or you could forward it without opening to: [email protected].
I have...GET RID.......a scam!!!!
I actually rang PayPal up to check.
Not all scams are picked up by email programs.

Thank you all very much for confirming my suspicions. I have forwarded the e-mail to the Paypal spoof centre and have received an e-mail confirming receipt. I have also deleted the e-mail.
If it doesn't mention your name it's a scam
If when you view headers or hover over the sender's address and it's not Paypal it's a scam. (Even if it does seem to be from Paypal it could still be a scammer who has spoofed the address).
Even if it looks genuine go into your Paypal account (go direct- don't click on a link) to see if there's a message. If not, it's a scam.

That's good kloofnek.
It just shows it's better to go in and ask.
In the case I was referring to he was given a huge form to fill in asking for everyone else's details of income, savings etc in the shared house so he just gave up. Maybe he should have just gone in and got them to fill it in. (I did suggest that at the time)
?
I was on another trhead!
I get two or three of these each week, i think its because i did a lot of ebay selling. always read it carefully, spelling or grammer mistakes are always a sure sign that its a scam. also, look to see who the originator was, normally a mis-spelling of paypal e mail address. As already mentioned, never open an attachment, just log into paypal or whoever the email says it is from, and look for messages. I get these from the inland revenue, one that says its a refund from Argos, another saying " A payment of £xxx is waiting to be credited to your bank account but needs you to confirm your bank details" and many more. A friend actually opened the paypal one and around a thousand quid was taken from Her bank account, but paypal refunded it.
Every single day. I've reported it to paypal who have not even responded to me
They always acknowledge mine but I am sure they don't investigate them individually. I don't think they can trace the scammers behind it
One thing to remember - Any genuine e-mail from Paypal will always address you by name.

This also goes for e-mails received from vitrually every organisation you are registered with.
I instantly delete anything like this unless it is addressed to me by the full name I use.
That's usually the give away: you are not named in the e-mail or the "name" they use for you is as it appears in your e-mail address.
