Another Q About My Pork Casserole Chefs....

As I live alone,Instead of making 6 portions of my pork casserole, would it be OK to make enough for 3, but veg etc for 6, put into freezer containers, then add chicken to the rest of the left over veg etc, so I have 3 of each?

As long as the chicken is cooked there should be no problem.

Do you mean cooked/sealed before putting in the slow cooker Retro?
I took it you meant you were going to make pork casserole with extra veg, then use the extra veg to put in with chicken to cook. As long as you do not, ever, put raw meat of any kind into cooled veg to freeze you will be ok. Do not put raw chicken into the cooked veg then put in the slow cooker -that is dangerous.
trt ignore the above post the keyboard has gone hay wire.

Never put raw chicken into already cooked veg then put in the slow cooker. Never add raw meat to cooked veg and freeze. If you want to use the left over veg to make a chicken casserole just fry the chicken until cooked and add the cooled chicken to the cooked veg and freeze immediately.
