cant get onto internet

hi can someone help please when i put my pc on this morning the start icon was on the top of the screen so someone suggested that i go onto help and support to system restore to get it back to when it was running ok so i did it and now it wont do anything at all so i went back to undo changes and it wont let me do that either but it runs ok when i switch user to my husbands or daughters but mine is useless can someone help please im going mad. thank you
