local area connection 2

on my task bar ive got an icon of a monitor with a big red X across it. when i put my cursor over this icon it gives me this message.

"local area connection 2. a network cable is unplugged"

any ideas please folks.. my system is working ok, but this has got me wondering if ive got any problems...

No problems.

I've got it as well. It's just telling you you are not connected to a local area network.

It does look alarming though!!

If you don't use that LAN port simply delete it if your system is working OK.
