I've used the 12v versions - they are just about OK for a brew of coffee, but desperately slow - by the time the cup of coffee is made you already want to be off & driving again. I went back to making a flask of boiling water and taking that instead.

I suppose the 24v may be quicker - dunno ...

thats what i was wondering about, not much point if you have to wait 10 mins or so!
10 mins was an optimistic estimate for the 12v version - and remember that is 'per cup' ...
... unless you have a passenger with asbestos goolies who can be persuaded to boil your mugful whilst you are driving ...

When I was on the road Mc, I used a small camping stove, it cost around £40 it included the stove / stand / cartridge / 2 pans that all went into each other when putting away, it was handy for soups etc. I think they where selling this Water heater at Carlisle Truck stop when I was on the road, they did not sell very well.
Yes just bought one, great
Mine is very fast
Question Author
