A14 > M6 > Jn1 > A426 (northbound, towards Rugby) > A5 (southbound, towards Lutterworth) > Rugby Road (local turn, on left, into Lilbourrne).

I live just down the road...this is what I'd do.
Come off the A14 at J1 (A5199). The way the slip road works, you turn right towards Northampton at the top of the slip. About 3/4 mile (Just after the 40 limit) turn right at the crossroads toward Cold Ashby. You will go round a sharp right corner (with a pub) and along a straight. At the end of the straight turn right toward Cold Ashby Golf Club. Just keep on this road for about 4 1/2 miles. You will come to a T junction near Stanford. Turn left toward Clay Coton. Follow for about 1 1/2 miles over the A14 and through Clay Coton, then turn right toward Lilbourne. Follow for about 2 miles (over the M1) and into Lilbourne. Its all back roads and lanes, but I take my truck down them no problem. Should take you no more than 10 -15 mins from leaving the A14.

Had a thought last night...if they close the A14 at J1, the queue will be mega! So, come off at J2 (A508) and turn left toward Northampton. After 300 yds at the top of the hill, turn right toward Haselbech. Follow this road all the way through Haselbech to Naseby. You will come into Naseby by the Community Centre and playground. At this junction you are technically turning left, but actually going straight on. Follow the road through Naseby (round the left bend by the church, then round the right bend toward Cold Ashby). This will bring you to the crossroads on the A5199. Go straight across (be aware its a bit blind both ways, so take your time!) and then follow the above instructions in to Cold Ashby.
