The moon was wonderful in the dark morning sky this morning. Only a crescent at this time of December, but you could virtually see the whole thing, so it gave the impression of a partial eclipse. And there were two really bright planets to the right of the crescent, don't know which ones they were, and a teeny tiny star virtually equi-distant between the two bright planets. Absolutely gorgeous - a wonderful sight!

Think that is Venus Mars and Jupiter chokkie.
Jupiter Mars and Venus are all in a line in the South. Possibly Jupiter as it is larger but Venus is bright. If you can make out the three lights Jupiter is top right Mars in the middle with Venus bottom left of the line. Venus has been mistaken for a throughout the ages until the invention of telescopes.
