IMO she holds an incredibly warped viewpoint. For every situation she can provide a "lucky they were armed" example I suspect there are many where there is a "tragedy that happened because there was arms" one. Not that I know how to prove it but common sense and the excess gun violence indicates it to be so. And it is all very well stating that the bad guys will get arms anyway, they sure will find that easy when society is overbrimming with the things: not so easy when they have been taken off the street and the old ones are gradually wearing out. Of course whilst one country still thinks this is ok, the guns there can be smuggled into more enlightened countries to cause problems there too. If America truly is the last country that allows its citizens to be the last line of defence, as weak though that line would be against a genuine force, then it is the problem, not the solution. All rather sad really. Should start looking to bring their constitution up to date really.
