My friend is getting married next week and I am her only bridesmaid. Getting quite excited about it all now. Anyway, my dress is crimson red and I was wondering what colour of eye shadow to wear with it? My friend is going quite natural so I don't want anything too bright. Any suggestions? Thanks x

how about a light rose on the lid lighly brushed with a creme on the brow and under the eye. With tiny bit of eyeliner you dont want your eyes to be to dark and then a nice coat of mascara (clear if u think u r gonna cry :o)) then a nice rosey coloured lippy with a clear gloss. hope this helpsxxx
oh and forgot to say not to much blusher just a few strokes to define your cheek bones.

look at the first picture the girl with blonde hair.

gold or green
Go for a really natural look as stylinsam suggested. Concentrate on your base make-up as that's the bit which will need to last all day. DO use foundation even if you don't normally. On top of that you could use Benefit's Moon Beam to highlight brow bone, cheekbones and lips before 'sealing' with powder. Opt for beige/brown/gold natural eyeshadows then pack a gorgeous crimson lipstick that you can smear on for the evening bash!

Hi pinkie,

i would agree with goodsoulette with the gold. I was bridesmaid for my sis in september and my dress was red (quite a bright shiny one) and i wore gold eyeshadow. it was nice and simple and gave me a nice sparkle. Good luck with it all.

if you do opt for a nice red lipstick in the evening...if you press a little gold powder from your cupids bow down that looks fab too.

avoid pinky red eyeshadow - it can make you look like you've been crying or are very tired or even ill, in certain lights and particularly on photos.

it largely depends on your hair colour and skin tone.

if you are dark or blonde, go for gold and brown - you can't really go wrong.

you could also try a dark green if you think your eye colour will stand it
