Sky Remote

I need a new sky plus remote control . Is it best to buy one direct from sky or pick up one the same from my local supermarket.?

Personal preference really. You can download an app to your smartphone to operate your Sky box.

You can get them from eBay, wendilla. Half the price of anywhere else and does the same job.
Just be sure to order the exact one that you need.

Thx dougles have had a look on eBay . Some are only around £6 but most of the feedback is not good . .looks like sky are cheapest with free postage

When I had Sky I spilled a drink on the remote, rang Sky and the sent me one gratis.

Same for me when the hamster chewed a button off, Sky just replaced it for nothing. We have a service contract with them though, that might make a difference.

Are you sure you need a new one, as Sky will talk you through any probs you have and give you codes.

I bought a new one from Amazon and didn't need it.

Trt I just have problems with the TV guide one and that's the main one for a start sometimes takes a minute to make contact . Can't find a free number for sky .def not ringing .

As far as I can make out calls are only free if you have there broadband or other packages . I don't have any of there packages only the lowest package with entertainment channels ect .

if its only getting the tv guide up on screen your having problems with, just press back up, it brings up the guide on the channel number your watching then go to 101 for the whole guide

Yes I do that but it happens with the select button as well
