What a superb song, they only play the chorus on the ad, so if you take the rapping out it sounds very much like Eydie Gorme from the sixties

Yes, here is the Blow Monkeys version. It fits in well with the film but I don't think the song suits his vocals- sounds like an inferior Unchained Melody.
I think the best versions are definitely Grace and Lesley Gore. I am sure I've heard Paloma Faith do it too but maybe I am confusing it with another one of hers.
