Do you remember the overwhelming choice of selection boxes and sweet packets we used to see in Woolworths at Christmas? Where do I go now for soemthing other than a tub of Roses?

It has Dipdabs, refreshers, whams, sherberts, black jacks...etc.

My son asked how much they cost and when I asked why he said 'because I've ate them all'

Or if you need it quick, like say for Christmas, try Tesco or Asda in their sweet aisle, they usually do little bags 3 for a £1.00.

I must admit you don't see many of the "selection boxes" you saw in the past (with an assortment of bars of chocolate) .

But surely most supermarkets have a huge selection of selection of Xmas packs of sweets and biscuits and other goodies.

I suspect that Selection Boxes have largely disappeared because most kids seem to get sweets several times a day now so wouldn't class sweets as a present (like I used to do ).

I think you're right I probably just need a supermarket but was trying to avoid that as I'm in town at lunchtime. i am looking for some of the cadbury's ranges or other chocolate Christmas issues.

I bought a tub of Celebrations and one of Heros £4 each. They both have a selection of individually wrapped mini chocolates such mars bars, bounty, maltesers, etc etc ideal for putting out in dishes

Yep, spot on HC. Wilko and the pound shop are next door to each other and between them they had everything from chocolate santas to giant toblerones, selection boxes and the whole cadburys range.
