Does Anyone Here Have A Kindle?

If so, please can anyone tell me how the book gets on the Kindle? Is it typed by someone? If not how? Sorry to sound so thick, but I just wondered.

Books for e-readers are downloaded much as you would download anything else...software , manuals etc. Kindles are downloaded from the Amazon bookstore.

Thanks gingejbee.I have often wondered. They would have a mighty job typing that lot out. Lol When I typed your name in it came up as ginger beer. Had to go back and change it.
