was a doddle !

Apparently there was a tip on the Chris Evans Breakfast show and it was to use an ironing board.

Having dreaded the amount I had to wrap and had it down to 2 a day to wrap I was keen to try anything which would save me from a dead leg.

I duly set the inong board at the lowest, all good, put the sellotape , scissors on the ironing plate and got started.

I swear I had wrapped well over 30 gifts, whilst watching the tele , without a dead leg and a broken back before I knew it.

I'm now way ahead of myself :)

Genius tip. Believe me !

the op's tip of using an ironing board for wrapping up presents isn't very helpful if you've bought you nearest and dearest an ironing board for christmas

I love wrapping gifts, I find it very therapeutic.

The present Mrs Hughes and I have reached an amicable division of labour over Christmas - she buys the gifts, wonderfully chosen, I wonderfully wrap them.

Works very well.
Lol

If I bought my nearest and dearest an ironing board for Christmas she wouldn't be for long.
Did buy her a wallpaper steamer once though. :-)
