No expert, but don't you just chuck it in with some dry cider and leave it until done ?
Just put the joint of pork in the slow cooker For about 4lbs and slow cook for 6 hours Ideal joint is a thick end of belly. Very reasonable price and lovely flavour. You will have too buy this in a proper butchers as the supermarkets will not know what it is
