According to this-no- unless you are older and possibly deficient in zinc.

The only thing that I've known to actually cure it, is grommets. But doctors need some persuading.
No..........and why is it in Chatterbank?

On second thoughts CB probably is the right place for it......
I tried all sorts of vitamins - in fact a huge supply was the only thing my GP recommended. I found for me the only answer is to learn to live with it.

Because Grommets play no part in the management of tinnitus..whatever the cause.
Apparently not, but it does work.
no wouldn't work - the only good thing I would say to you - it does leave you and give you peace but usually comes back -

I find painkillers, stress, worry can trigger it. I have it and it would drive you to drink (sic) - truly awful.
Pixie......I never had tinnitus til I had grommets inserted.....then the tinnitus started and nearly drove me silly......

Then, I accidentally tipped far too hot olive oil into one ear.....danced around the kitchen ouching......and the tinnitus stopped and hasn't returned.....bliss...x

Not that I am recommending this weecalf...just that grommets, in my experience, can cause tinnitus....x
I don't know the reason, I just personally know of four people who were told nothing more could be done, try masking, hearing aids, background noise, just live with it. All of them, eventually, were given grommets, having been reassured it could make absolutely no difference. And in every case, the tinnitus completely and permanently disappeared. It's just my personal experience.
What is a Grommet ?
Pass the Wensleydale and I'll tell you...
Zinc, magnesium, and potassium for cramp prevention. Zinc does squat for my Tinnitus.
