Damn! I'd forgotten that AB tries to embed iPlayer videos into a page but fails. Here's the link again: http://tinyurl.com/je4whgv

Didn't know about that, Togo. Is it an old recording ?.
No but I watched a programme about Jeff Lynne on iPlayer a while ago. I forgot how talented he is.

Lol Buen.
I do like a lot of ELO stuff, I've never seen them live but that showing BBC red button was quite impressive.
On the weekend I watched Jeff Lynne in concert on either BBC3 or 4, really impressive. Odd thing was the bassist, playing a leftie bass but strung for right-hander, ie upside down.

Was it McCartney moon lighting anax
I noticed that too, Anax - first time I've ever seen it. Of course, it used to be said that Jimi Hendrix played his guitar 'upside down', but it was just a right-handed guitar strung in the normal way for a left-hander. As a former bass-player I cannot imagine how he plays it that way round. Great Xmas crossword, by the way - I'm now going to continue bespangling my Christmas tree....

Brains reallot the poxy job, and pull a Christmas cracker before having a plate of gala pie at ones fingertips. I am soon to be recumbent.
Aw, thanks ;) We're supposed to work in rotation but the fee is rubbish so next in line usually unvolunteers - think I've done 4 out of the last 5. The nod for this one came very late, giving me a month to do what I'd usually like to spread over about six. Bit of a panic!
As for the bass, I know what you mean. My first was a rightie so I learned to play with strings upside down for a year or so - very relieved when I got a left-hooker and learned properly. No idea what prompted this guy to stay with strings the wrong way, but in fairness he seems very happy with it.
