It's The Thought That Counts.
10 Answers
There are two little pre-school sisters live around the corner from me. I met them in the summer with their mother and they made a great fuss of my dog. She returned their attention by licking their hands. Since then when I'm walking past their house they knock the window and wave out.
This morning they came out with their mum and gave me two Christmas gifts, one for the dog and the other for me. A packet of Schmackos for the dog and a bar of chocolate to me.
Have you ever had a gift where the thought really did count?

A lady who was married to my Mum's cousin gave me a Christmas Card with £50 in, and a note that said that Mum had helped her out. Then she turned up with the equivalent of a Christmas Hamper of Food (From Tesco), and then another present on Christmas Eve, with Alcohol, Mince Pies, Quality Street, Pringles and a few other bits and pieces in.
She'll be getting a bunch of Flowers delivered in the New Year.
