Smart Phone And L Plates

I hope someone out there can help where all my efforts seem to have failed. I have a Nokia Lumia 365 phone, recently bought. It is a foreign country to me, although I can make phone calls, send texts and take photos. However that is my limit, and I find that I cannot send or receive any multi media material. I have consulted friends, the Car Phone Warehouse(who were no help at all, telling me it was fixed and it was not). I have looked on the internet, found 'instructions' on how to solve the problem, but when followed I still have the problem. My phone is operating on a BT sim card and I don't know whether to contact BT or Nokia for help. Has anyone the same phone who coluld help please?

Your phone account would need to include data. Or you'd need to switch on Wifi and be logged into a nearby router.

OG, I dont think the Elspeth wants internet access, just "multi media" texts etc. usually available without internet.
