It's already blowing quite a hoolie down here in Cornwall, rain on the wind, now some 35mph gusting 50.

Given what you have been through oop North, good luck for the next few hours....probably for the fifteen to eighteen hours or so that it is around. Our Frank97 may take on a new perspective in AB winds.....

Winds are getting up here to, DT.
Aye tis blowy here, the ducks are bobbing up and down on the waves (there aren't usually waves).
I worked in Tadcaster for 16 years and saw the river almost touch the top of the bridge arches but tonight it has destroyed part of the bridge meaning the town is cut in two. It's just started to rain here (S of York) which I'm sure is inducing PTSD in a few York residents. Terrible.
Shocking the horror some have had/are having.
My thoughts are with the Northerners who are still coming under the cosh of the appalling weather.
