I'm enjoying following Tim Peake's mission via the Internet & the current Royal Institute lectures. They've briefly covered first aid on board but what would be the protocol, God forbid, should an astronaut die? Would the body be kept, if so how & for how long? Or would the body be "buried in space?" anyone any ideas?

The thought of this, and of people going to Mars, makes me unbelievably sad. I could really weep at the thought of it. Something to do with never going home again?
If the deceased were buried in space they'd burn up like a falling star on re-entry.....possibly a rather magnificent way to go, but still, have to blow nose now.
