Considerations are size .. are you single .. Do you have family? Depending on the size you choose, the inner ceramic pot may fit in your microwave which is handy once a meal is cooked and needs rewarding quickly! I have a family sized Morphy Richards. Of course if you go family size, perhaps you can save half of the contents for another day?
I live on my own and i've got a Crock Pot slow cooker, its the best out there as far as i'm concerned, its brilliant for making all manner of meals, soups, stews, curries, etc, wouldn't be without it. There are 1000s of recipes online as well.
I have an amazing one - have had it over forty years and use it all the time. I have heard that the more modern ones aren't nearly as good and tend to burn so I would advise you do some on line research if you don't get a satisfactory answer here.
i would recomend getting one where you can take the pot off and put it in hte ob=ven/on the hob/in the freezer. My crock pot one does that. It means you can brown stuff in tht same pot of you want to
