Lorries Overturning
Just recently there has been a spate of HGV's overturning and shedding their loads across highways and motorways causing a lot of damage and inconvenience for other motorists. I have never seen a court case for the drivers of these vehicles for dangerous driving or driving without due care and attention. Do their insurance companies fork out for the damage to roads, road signs etc and the drivers let off?

Kazal, there are various causes that over turn a HGV, Top Heavy loads within the Trailer ( Eg/ THe top Pallets in the Trailer Heavier than the Bottom) Fluid Loads driver by inexperience So Called Drivers, the road camber Eg. M11 going onto the M25 South, the M11 cambers badly to the HGVs Right, Empty Curtain sided Trailer's Get blown over due to the Height of the Trailer so the Curtain acts as a barrier against the wind, when ever I was pulling an empty Curtain sider I always opened the trailer & Strapped the curtain to the back doors, the transport of Cattle can throw a trailer over so can Swinging Meat in a Fridge Trailer, the meat hangs on hooks from the roof, Plaster Board if not Strapped down well can throw a trailer, to your Q, yes the driver can get done but it all depends on the circumstances.
Just to add & I'm not knocking all car Drivers, the motorist that leaves his / her Motorway Junction until the last min causing the HGV to swerve ( Been there & seen the video but never had one over) you also see Scrap Cars on Tipper Trailer, depending how experienced the driver is, these can be rolled on Roundabouts & what spped the driver is doing, no matter what you try once the start to roll, over it goes, If I can give a tip on Motorways, if heavy winds you can tell if the HGV / Van is Empty by the way it reacts ( Sudden side way movement) just keep your distance from these, Shap in Cumbria is a very bad place for this happening as there is no protection from side winds.

Frid, can coupe with this Boss, Boss, don't worry lad I'll increase your money by 20p but don't tell the other driver, Oh, that new HGV Is your new Wagon, Geeeeeeeeeeee boss, no need for the 20p rise I'll drive that for 50p less, Geeeeeee I'm on a £100 a week, no night out money as I have a Bed behind the seat, Mickey, like a few on here that's done the job, I trained on the Small ones & worked up, by doing this you gained experience, a lot of HGV Accidents are caused, caused by inexperience and who is the cause? It's not the Young Driver, it's the stupid Regulations that allow Kids to drive a Dangerous HGV In the wrong hands, an artic can be driven by someone at 21, with no experience pulling 40ton, and GEEEEEEEEEE a weeks driving on a Empty 38 ft trailer, I'll rest my case.
