I've left the errrors in to give you anidea of the problem. Is it something to do with this particular machine? I did train as atouch-typist and passed all sorts of exams and have neverhad a problem before. The space-bar isan obvious prob

However your reference to touch-typing (rather than poking the keys one-by-one, as I'm doing now) suggests that you might be resting your palm on the touchpad. If so then, ideally, DON'T! (It's a well-known cause of problems with keyboard sensitivity).
However, if you find that you have to rest your palm on the touchpad, try reducing its sensitivity. (Settings > Devices > Mouse and Touchpad).

It may be worth checking the Windows Keyboard settings as there are a number of options to set Keyboard operational features, including 'typing delay'. To check / change this action goto:-
- Select Windows Start>Settings
- Select 'Ease of Access'
- Select 'Keyboard'
- Check the option 'Filter Keys' and ensure that it is set to 'Off' status. (Click the status bar to toggle 'On/Off' as necessary)
Hope that works for you.

Thank you all very much. I've beeninto the settings and everything is turned to off. I havenoticed that I can sometimes touchthetouchpad when typing, but right now Immaking great efforts not to do so and it doesn't seem to bemaking much of a difference. Witness the missing spaces here.! Apostrophes gomissing as well. :(
